Founded in 1927, the USPTA has long been recognized as the leading organization for certified tennis teaching professionals. In 2024, it rebranded as the Racquet Sports Professionals Association (RSPA) to reflect a broader commitment to all racquet sports, including tennis, pickleball, padel, and squash.
I became a licensed member in 2014, joining a network of certified professionals dedicated to promoting excellence in coaching, player development, and community engagement.
Today, the RSPA continues the USPTA’s legacy through world-class certification, education, and professional development programs for racquet sports leaders around the globe.
Professional Tennis Registry (PTR)
James Bell is a licensed member of the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) — one of the world’s leading organizations for tennis coach education and certification.
Founded in 1976, the PTR provides internationally recognized training and credentials for teaching professionals at every level, from beginners to elite players. With more than 16,000 members across 125 countries, the PTR promotes excellence, safety, and growth in the sport through continuing education and performance development.
James’s certification through the PTR reflects his commitment to professional coaching standards, player development, and the advancement of tennis both locally and globally.
