SFTP’s mission is to encourage and support the growth of the sport of tennis throughout the US.
In partnership with local colleges and tennis professionals, we are excited to reach out to the tennis community and grow opportunities for tennis play in the area.

Mission
The James Lewis Tennis Scholarship Foundation was formed to provide scholarships to junior tennis players; support educational and character development programs; and support overall tennis play and tennis skills development.
Location
The James Lewis Tennis Center is located at the Ensley Park and Recreation Center in Birmingham, AL. Their facility is equipped with ten (10) hard courts, a pro shop, a gym, and offers additional services such as racquet stringing.
James Lewis has adult leagues that play competitive United States Tennis Association (USTA) matches. Adult teams have gone to not only the state championships but also to the Sectional Championships.
